Description
How do we sit in the unrest of the world without jumping to conclusions on how to fix it? That is one of the themes behind Amy Grant's new single and opening track, ''The 6th Of January (Yasgur's Farm)'' from her upcoming album The Me That Remains. While the title could indicate a stance on the political spectrum, it is quite the opposite. The song asks the question, haven't we all lost our way? With references to the idealistic era of Woodstock and the hope for something better, the song is more of a question than a commentary. Says Amy, ''We operate in the world around us and sometimes neglect the power of what we have in our choices and how those choices affect the world around us''. Sonically, the song is reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, yet the lyric and message is timeless. Track Listing: 1. The 6th Of January (Yasgur's Farm)
