Listen to God's Word
The Bible, God’s guidebook for us, says that you and I—and the rest of the human race—have sinned against God.
"All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
The penalty for your sin is death—separation from God forever.
"...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). "So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God" (Romans 14:12).
Receive God's Offer
Believe that Christ loves you and paid the penalty for your sins by dying in your place on the cross. Agree that God’s way is the only way your sins can be forgiven.
"God commendeth [shows] His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
Receive Christ as your Savior from sin’s judgment and experience the new life God wants for you.
"As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name" (John 1:12).
"The wages of sin is death [separation from God forever]; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
My Confession
- My sin is a fact—I have sinned.
- My sin's penalty is death—separation from God forever.
- My sin's penalty is already paid by Christ on the cross. He died for me, then rose again three days later.
- My part is to accept by faith what Christ did for me.
